Tarte Alsacienne - Alsatian Apple Tart
Here we go with more apples. To be honest, this one didn't leave me much of an impression but I have to say that I had a lot of fun making it since I flambee the heck out of these apples! Flambee is basically using liqueur or liquor while cooking the apples and tilting the pan at an angle to catch a flame of fire with the alcohol. It was exciting and every few minutes you would hear a scream in my class since we're all new to this. I think I lost my eyelashes... just kidding.
I found this video on youtube so you can see what I'm talking about.
Maybe next time I will record my own flambee video. =)
